FRAMING YOUR WORLD WITH YOUR WORDS

"...the worlds were framed by the word of God..." (Hebrews 11:3)

We could commence '07 many different ways but I wish to begin with a framing square and framing hammer. God gave us a powerful tool, the tongue. "Is not my word like a hammer that breaks the rocks in pieces?" (Jeremiah 23:29) A hammer can tear apart but also build up. "The words of the wise are as...nails, fastened by the masters of assemblies..." (Ecclesiastes 12:11) Jesus was a carpenter, so are you and I. Hebrews says the worlds were "framed". The Greek word means "perfected, put together, fixed, completed". Words may seem flimsy things to frame a house with but they constitute the main beams of the spirit. "In the beginning was the word..." (John 1:1) No Home Depot, only God's spoken command. He "commanded light to shine out of darkness" (2 Corinthians 4:6). He spoke, it stood. Over and over the creation chapter echoes, "and God said, and it was so".

Made in His image we too are speaking spirits. "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so" (Psalm 107:2). To be so we must say so. "Let the weak say, I am strong" (Joel 3:10). "So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper..." (Hebrews 13:6) Positive input frames the mind. God gave us mouths to condition our minds. If faith "comes by hearing" then the most controlled hearing would be our own self-talk. Begin, early this year, to see what you desire and say what you desire. Goals do not become mandates until attached with a deadline. In other words, "I will have such and such by March 1st, 2007". The shell of faith's seed is not broken till the word is spoken. If the spoken resolution of the woman with the issue of blood worked in private, "for she said within herself, If I may but touch", how much more will such resolution work if spoken in public? Abraham called those things which are not "as though they were".

Our text begins, "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by..." Mouthing mere words does as much good as talking to a wall. It is faith words of which I speak. Paul called scripture words the "word of faith" (Romans 10:8). We don't fire a scatter gun. Issues need targeted, "Whosoever shall say to this mountain..." (Mark 11:23) You can't sway it until you say it. The spiritual world responds to voice-activated commands. Hosts of angels "hearken to the voice of His spoken word" (Psalm 103:20 Moffatt). Gabriel rushed back to the throne room with spiritual mail the moment Mary declared, "Be it to me according to your word" (Luke 1:38). It is always the word that frames the destiny. So if you want April or June or November to work out this year then start by hammering the main frame in January. Voice your vision. At the very least wrap your best wishes in the skin of words. Visualize then verbalize. That does not guarantee that all will turn out as planned but a man with a decree is always miles ahead of the man with only a dream. "You shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto you..." (Job 22:28)
