QUIETUDE

One furniture company advertised their beds as follows - “The rest is better and we’re better than the rest”. That is what Jesus gives. He will give you a life of rest for the rest of life

Too often we are trying instead of tarrying, working instead of waiting, doing instead of dying, sweating instead of seeking

Religion says “Do, do, do” but redemption says “Done, done, done”. We need to rest quietly in His finished work. Remember that He cried from the Cross, “It is finished!” He didn’t say, “To be continued…”
