The Bible: He wrote it - we quote it! Why quote others?

Bees gather honey from a lot of flowers so speakers need to gather nectar from a lot of sources

The man who never reads will never be read; he who never quotes will never be quoted. He who will not use the thoughts of other men’s brains, proves that he has no brains of his own – Charles Spurgeon

If you read 20 minutes a day at average reading speed you will read around 20 200-page books in a year’s time. The average American only reads 1 book a year. How many read even one?

I also believe in the importance of listening to tapes. Tapes will help to trigger your imagination. Mary Kay Ash never gets into her car without turning on a motivational tape. Remnants come together to make a whole cloth. Every church has its remnant

There were ten Old Testament revivals. All broke out from a little remnant

When a man undertakes to repent toward his fellowmen, it is repenting straight up a precipice; when he repents toward law, it is repenting into the crocodile's jaws; when he repents toward public sentiment, it is throwing himself into a thicket of brambles and thorns; but when he repents toward God, he repents toward all love and delicacy. Jonah cried, “Yet 40 days and Ninevah shall be destroyed”. God has set timeframes and dates for people to repent. The Word says of Jezebel - “And I gave her space to repent of her fornication, and she repented not” (Rev 2:21). “Space” there is the word chronos - a chronological order of time.

Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that! After all, it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody because Nobody had wound up doing what Anybody could have done!

We have become lax with Laodicean lukewarmness, laziness, laxity, lovelessness, lifelessness and limp, loose, lethargy. We need revival

We need revival for survival. For revival there must be His approval. The approval comes after the removal. The removal causes an arrival. The arrival brings an upheaval. The upheaval is the revival and the revival guarantees our survival - and then the whole cycle starts over again

Acts 3:19-21 shows repentance, refreshing, return, then restoration. First the showers then the Son. First the refreshing then the returning. First the outpouring then the appearing

I stepped up on a log where I could have a better view of the surging sea of humanity. The scene that then presented itself to my mind was indescribable.
